About

My current research is focused on comparing and contrasting what "being human" means, as represented within Japanese and North American science fiction, and exploring the possible implications and uses of such representations for popular and academic ideas about (post)humanism. My main theoretical interests lie in the intersections of feminist theories, posthumanisms, affect theories, and cultural studies.
